If You Can’t Say Anything Worthwhile…

… then don’t say anything at all.  (Or, if you prefer the wittier formulation attributed to both Abraham Lincoln and Mark Twain, “It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.”)  As Nick Norelli correctly predicted, the topics dominating my RSS reader are Zondervan’s proposed revision of the NIV (and the concurrent discontinuation of the TNIV) and the unfortunate dearth of female bibliobloggers.  And as someone who prefers the RSV/NRSV and its associated study Bibles (HCSB and NOAB), and who follows blogs based upon the quality of their content rather than the gender of their authors (male, female, transgendered, whatever—if it’s good, I want to read it), I don’t have anything to contribute to either of these discussions.  So I’m taking the night off and enjoying the return of college football on ESPN.
