In an ingenious effort to ensure that he retains his status as the world’s most widely read biblioblogger for the sixth consecutive month, Jim West has compiled and presented the most recent edition of the ever-exciting Biblical Studies Carnival: the “Funhouse Edition.” The diligence and acumen required to create such a comprehensive catalog are truly remarkable; scarcely any of the major posts from the previous month have been missed. Thanks to Jim for his hard work!
This blog appeared as part of two exhibits: “The Bearded Lady: Something’s Just Not Right Here” and “The 900 Pound Man: Big Stuff” (both of which include appropriately disturbing illustrations that I will magnanimously refrain from reposting here):
Those who read my posts on this subject, however, are aware that they offered no such defense, nor were they ever intended to do so. Simply put, they asked critics to evaluate arguments based upon their actual content and support rather than the degrees held by their proponents. But, as I didn’t invest the immense amounts of time and effort involved in sifting through a grillion different posts from all corners of the blogosphere, I guess beggars can’t be choosers. 😉
Fairly big as well is the scorching Matt Burgess gives BAR for publishing stories about the Ark of the Covenant in Ethiopia. To summarize- BAR should know better than to offer such dilettantish silliness.
